Corrections Policy

How to flag an error, and how we put it right. Last updated 29 June 2026.

We work hard to keep our tyre guides accurate and current, and every guide is checked by a member of our team. Even so, mistakes can happen, and standards, tests and products change over time. When something is wrong, we want to fix it quickly and openly.

How to report an error

If you think a guide contains a mistake, is out of date, or could be clearer, email us at hello@tyreshq.co.uk with the page address and what you believe is wrong. If you have a source, please include it. Messages from tyre fitters, garages and manufacturers are just as welcome as those from drivers.

Every report is read by a person, not filed away automatically.

How we handle a correction

When we receive a report, a member of the team checks it against our sources. If the point is correct, we update the guide and, where it matters, note what changed and when. If a claim cannot be supported, we remove or rephrase it rather than leave it standing.

Clear factual errors are prioritised and fixed as soon as we have confirmed them. Smaller improvements, such as wording or extra detail, are folded into the next update of the guide.

Safety-critical information

Anything that affects safety or legality, such as tread limits, load ratings or tyre sizes, is treated as a priority. If you believe a safety or legal point on the site is wrong, please tell us straight away and we will check it without delay.

How updates are shown

Each guide shows when it was last updated. Where a correction changes the substance of the advice, the update date reflects it, so you can always see how current a guide is.

How we work

Our wider standards for research, sourcing and review are set out in our editorial guidelines.
